According to Jerusalem City Hall, an anticipated one million people will visit the capital during Pesach. The main focus will be the Kosel, the Old City and Kosel tunnels. On Tuesday morning, the traditional Birchas Kohanim was held, attracting tens of thousands.
Meanwhile, over 20,000 visitors were on hand in Chevron on Tuesday, taking part in festivities marking 40 years since the renewal of the Jewish settlement in the Ir HaAvos in 1968.
A large number of people visited on Monday as well, the two day officially allocated for the 40th anniversary events.
