The final deadline for the elections is approaching, and the Likud is pulling out the heavy guns in order to win over some Chareidi voters. According to a Kikar Shabbos News report, this Thursday, April 4, less than a week before the elections, a major conference will be held in Bnei Brak with the participation of Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein.
Last week, YWN-Israel reported that Likud was fighting to bring in chareidi votes, aware there are many who identify as ‘chareidim’ but not those who seek the word of Gedolei Torah when it comes to voting. A planned election event in Tamir Hall in Yerushalayim did not occur as planned, but it appears now, with a change of venue, Likud is moving to Bnei Brak.
Likud has been holding parlor meetings in the chareidi community, as the chareidi branch of the party has been working tenaciously ahead of elections. However, the planned event in Bnei Brak will be the first major party event in a chareidi population area, clearly hoping to bring in the ‘working chareidim’ ahead of elections.
The work within the chareidi sector is taking place under the radar according to Kikar News, in order not to arouse the anger of the chareidi parties, whose heads are afraid of the leak of chareidi votes to the Likud, and probably rightfully, in view of the many polls that have been published in recent weeks.
The Likud estimates that close to 30,000 chareidim have voted for the Likud, and even before the current election date has been set, Prime Minister Netanyahu has set a goal of two seats from the chareidi public.
It should be noted that in addition to Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein, MK Yoav Kisch, Likud chairman Yaakov Vidar and Likud candidate Shlomo Karai are expected to attend the conference in Bnei Brak.
The local elections held a few months ago only strengthened the decision to bring chareidi voters closer, and in the recent municipal elections, Likud succeeded in entering the Bnei Brak City Council after some 30 years of efforts, having received the votes of more than 4,000 residents.

Sorry, but we remember how the Likud, Beit Yehudi(except for Yoni Chetbron) sold out the Chareidi community to Finance minister Lapid , to cut funds for schools, yeshivas, poor families, etc.etc. just a few years ago.Unfortunately, our schools don’t get guaranteed funding,no matter who is “in the government” , like secular schools do.
