Carter Continues Meeting with Terrorist & Arab Leaders

Former US President Jimmy Carter continues his regional tour, meeting with Hamas officials and Arab leaders.

On Friday and Saturday, Carter met with Hamas chief Khaled Meshal, who is based in Damascus. Other senior Hamas officials were present.

Carter decided to shun US State Department requests not to meet with terrorist leaders, but the pro-Arab former president decided to move ahead with his agenda.

Carter has released a number of statements, deploring Israel’s embargo on Gaza, as well as blaming Israel for the deaths of many civilians in Gaza.

Carter met in Amman on Saturday with Jordan’s King Abdullah II, but the talks shifted to the Israel-Palestinian Authority front rather than moving ahead with Carter’s agenda, Hamas. Abdullah is also no fan of Hamas, fearing the terrorist organization will attempt to destabilize his government, seeking to spread its Islamic fundamentalist platform as well as opposing Jordanian ties with Washington.

King Abdullah did however echo Carter’s call to Israel to bring an end to the embargo on Gaza.
