Former NYPD Commissioner Kerik Heads Home From Federal Prison


kerik.jpgFormer Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik is getting out of federal prison today. Kerik is expected to return to his New Jersey home after being released from a Maryland prison where he served three years of a four year sentence.

Kerik pleaded guilty to multiple counts of corruption in 2009, including tax fraud and lying to the White House on his application for Homeland Security Secretary.

He also pleaded guilty to making false statements in connection with $250,000 in free renovations to his Bronx apartment.
