Opposition leader MK Binyamin Netanyahu is calling for Israel to take the necessary measures towards crushing the Hamas regime in Hamas-controlled Gaza.
The former prime minister told the Jerusalem Post that this can be accomplished without renewing Israel’s permanent presence in Gaza.
Speaking to the Post in a Pesach interview, Netanyahu spoke of the need to restore Israel’s deterrence power, hunting terrorists down without permitting them a safe-haven.
The Likud leader had scathing remarks for Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and his administration regarding his policies vis-à-vis Gaza-based terror and ongoing talks with PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen).
Referring to Israel’s unilateral retreat from the security zone in Southern Lebanon in 2000, the move [ordered by then Prime Minister Ehud Barak] has permitted Hizbullah to become the formidable force it is today, as well as giving Iran a base on Israel’s northern border.
Netanyahu stated that Israel will ultimately have to crumble the Hamas leadership in Gaza if no one else does.

Mr. Netanyahu has the correct picture.
Not one Jewish neshama should be risked unless it is made clear that once taken back, we will NEVER give away Gaza again!! If Jews are H”V killed in a war in Gaza and then the State just hands it over again 10, 15 years from now it will all be wasted. INVADE GAZA and forcefully expell all Terrorists into the Sea or the Sinai and make all others pledge alligance to the State of Israel and give them all personal rights with NO national rights.
