Members of the bomb squad responded to a bouquet of balloons that were detected in the Shar HaNegev Region of southern Israel on Monday morning, fearing that they were balloon bombs which were sent into israel from Gaza.

Police commended the alertness of the citizens who called in the balloons, which did indeed appear suspicious amid the reality the terrorist based in Gaza often launch such balloons which are incendiary devices aimed at killing Israelis.

In this case, B’chasdei Hashem, it was a false alarm as the balloons were harmless.
