In a video released this week, one sees Tiveria Mayor Ron Kobi criticizing those “who assisted” the chareidi tzibur in the city, those persons who sell apartments to chareidim and transportation drivers who bring them to the city.
MK Betzalel Smotrich, chairman of Ichud Leumi and second on the Bayit Yehudi list, attacked Kobi in his Twitter account and wrote: “It’s unbelievable that the way it looks like the man needs forced hospitalization, there’s an anti-Semitic mayor in the State of Israel who continues in his job and receives a salary from the state.”
Smotrich stung Attorney General Dr. Avichai Mandelblit, who does not interfere with what is going on in the city, and wrote: “And the legal advisor? Ah, he is busy disqualifying Michael Ben Ari …”
In the new video of Kobi, who was apparently filmed before his election, Kobi said, “We are here in an unequivocal statement: We started with a war, this is a war against this city, it is a war against our way of life. This is a war against religious coercion in the State of Israel.
“They have dried up this city deliberately, deliberately, and have collaborators – the people who sit with them and do business with them, and they are here among us, and we have to denounce them now, all the apartment brokers who sell them real estate, land and apartments here. shame on you”.
“They have collaborators, all the transportation companies, they make milLeons, transport contractors who transport them and their children in limousines from the direction of our expense, listen, this is war, if you do not wake up, if the public in Tiveria does not wake up, you will not be here in a year,” warned Kobi.
