Severe thunderstorms are expected to rattle through the Hudson Valley and Catskills today (Thursday) and continue off and on through the weekend with damaging wind gusts the primary concern.

Minor flooding many also occur, according to the National Weather Service. On average, one to one-and-a-half inches of rain is expected across the area through Friday morning, but localized areas could get up to two to three inches of rain.
