More than ten thousand people packed the Kosel on Friday morning, the second day of Rosh Chodesh Adar II, to drown out women affiliated with the Reform Movement who had promised to come in large numbers R”L.
Thousands upon thousands of Frum women and girls of all ages arrived at sunrise, easily filling up the entire Kosel, with many spilling out far into the Plaza.
The mens section was packed as well.
Approximately 150 people associated with the Women of the Wall (WoW) showed up wearing their Tefillin and Yarmulkas, and had a very hard time gathering together for their “Minyan”.
WoW is calling the event “30 years of activism“, and were hopeful the turnout would be significant. In fact, WoW is having a weekend of events, including “Kabalat Shabbat sing-along” and havdalah.
As YWN had reported, HaGaon HaRav Chaim Kanievsky Shlita called on all seminary students (girl’s high school) and women to daven at the Kosel on Rosh Chodesh in response to the women affiliated with the Reform Movement.

What a beautiful Davening it was!
The Rov gave a speech that we don’t demonstrate at such a Makom Kadosh! All just Davened to HKB”H!!! Singing of Hallel, we must do this again!!
The WoW organization is just foolish, no need to worry about them, they don’t understand what they want! They don’t even need to be screamed at, they feel very foolish and out of place!!!!
I heard there were less than 50
and FINALLY they went to their “Plaza” on the side designated for then to “do their thing” (not daven – of course)
This is tbe worst move they couldve done.

we should thank them for bringing out such a large multitude of daveners. perhaps if we would greet them with love and thank them, they might enjoy davening with us.

IY”H may the WoW realize that they’re not wanted and disband and stopping desecrating the Kosel.
Everyone knows for sure that Hashem is on his side of the argument, because he is the one that understands. But yet when something terrible happens, the people including the Gedolim will always say that we don’t understand the ways of Hashem.

From this website it seems that Women who misunderstand halacha and try to pervert tefilah as it should be is worse than jews praying for and siding with destruction and death of the jewish people.

WOW don’t need a counter-demonstration to garner media coverage with endless funding
Searchin 345: No, not a chilul hashem….just dumb. Without these “counter-demonstrations”, the WoW publicity seekers would not have gotten a fraction of the media attention they still receive. Pulling thousands of girls out of school for these kind of events gives the WoW a megaphone they otherwise would not hold.
