Eastern Union, one of America’s leading commercial real estate finance companies, is offering a free, twelve-week course in commercial real estate to Americans presently living in Israel.
The training course — which covers commercial real estate, finance, and sales — is specifically geared toward Israeli-based Americans planning to return to the United States within the subsequent six to twelve months. Trainees will not be obligated to work for Eastern Union when they are back in America.
“This free, concise and comprehensive real estate course is an example of the ways that Eastern Union gives back to the community,” said company founder and president Ira Zlotowitz. “It’s an ideal, cost-free way for returning Americans to gain valuable, hands-on experience and build out their resumes.”
The “Real Estate 101” course covers a range of topics relating to real estate finance and sales. The web-based classes address such areas as acquisitions, financing, syndication, due diligence, risk management, working with appraisers and inspectors, investment property types, valuations, property management, leasing, and tax benefits.
Eastern Union — which just concluded a banner year closing $5 billion in commercial debt and equity financings in 2018 — aims to attract “individuals who have a strong desire to learn and who possess the commitment and dedication to see things through.”
The course — which will take place four nights a week for 30 minutes during supper bein hasdorim — features hands-on training in finance and general sales skills from top Eastern Union brokers, including Mr. Zlotowitz as well as chief of sales Mark Schnurman. The live, interactive, course allows for real-time interaction with attendees.
With an extensive record of success in real estate training, Eastern Union ranks among the industry’s leaders in terms of the overall number of trainees. The firm leads and participates in many free training courses together with other prominent real estate companies, including PCS, the leader in training yeshivaleit. Many past trainees have later achieved success in a range of real estate and other business ventures.
“Attendees will get an idea of what interests them in the real estate arena and be better equipped to make judgments about their careers,” said Mr. Zlotowitz. “Those who complete the course will also add a valuable dimension to their resumes, especially participants just entering the business world. Their knowledge base will help them enter any real estate office or business and hit the ground running in their new career.”
If an attendee brings in a real estate transaction over the course of the sessions, that individual will receive a commission.
Eastern Union is holding forth the prospect of extending job offers to the best-qualified attendees. The company asks that attendees not join a competing firm upon completion of the course.
