Following the decision of the Central Election Committee, permitting Otzma Yehudit candidate Michael Ben-Ari and Itamar Ben-Givir to run in the upcoming election, is now being reported that police and the State Prosecutor’s office may launch an investigation against Ben-Ari for incitement to violence and racism.

According to the News13 report, investigation will be based on quotes that were presented to the Central Elections Committee in the expert opinion paper submitted by Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit, in which the Attorney General quoted instances in which Ben-Ari may have violated the law which prohibits incitement and racism.

From the right wing and among supporters of the political party, there were cries of the left-wing having a clear agenda, willing to do anything possible, using all means at its disposal, to eliminate the party from running in the upcoming election.
