Red Alert Siren In Israel’s South

A red alert siren went off in Southern Israel, Wednesday night.

The IDF Spokesperson confirmed that the Red Alert Siren sounded near the Gaza border. The siren alerted residents throughout the Eshkol region of an incoming projectile from the Gaza Strip.

The IDF Spokesperson’s office said that the incident is being investigated in order to determine what caused the siren to go off.

Residents of the region reported hearing explosions and believe that a rocket exploded.

Early media reports are suggesting that a rocket landed in an open field somewhere in the region. Similarly, it is being reported that IDF tanks have returned fire and destroyed a Hamas outpost in the Gaza Strip.
