Agri Star Meat & Poultry LLC today announced it will donate 20,000 pounds of product to Chabad Community Center for Jewish Life and Learning in Oklahoma City, OK to aid in food relief to local tornado victims.
“Our hearts pour out to families in Oklahoma,” said Yaakov Labowitz, VP of Sales, Agri Star Meat and Poulty, LLC. He continued, “We recognize that in times of crisis, neighbor helping neighbor, often provides the most comfort, and a solid foundation for rebuilding. We have therefore partnered with the local Chabad Community Center to insure that a warm meal is available to those in need… that families have one less concern, as they set about recovery.“
Rabbi Ovadia Goldman, of the Oklahoma City Chabad Community Center is coordinating volunteers to prepare and distribute the food on the local level. “We open our arms and our hearts to all, regardless of background or affiliation. We’re innovators who believe in people… You won’t find us only talking about concepts; we bring them to life.“ Center volunteers are mobilized, and bringing aid to all within reach.
Although the teams have worked tirelessly to through the night to coordinate logistics, loose ends remain. “We do not have our own trucks, therefore encountered numerous challenges coordinating delivery of the product.”
