The fire department was called at about 5:00AM on Shabbos morning for a fire that broke out in an electric box in a residential building on HaAchim Yaffa Street in Petach Tikvah. Six fire apparatus responded to the call.
Magen Adam Adom treated a chareidi mom and her daughter who sustained light injuries heading for the stairwell as they fled the fire. The father of the family and three other children were checked on the scene by MDA on-call responder Eren Indo, who lives nearby.
In fact, Eren hosted the dad and the children who were not transported to the hospital, bringing them to his home for Shabbos lunch, as they were unable to return to their apartment. He also provided them with some appropriate clothing and a place to rest on Shabbos afternoon.
