Israel Police in the Shai (Shomron-Yehuda) district continues its war against illegal guns, leading to an operation in the Menashe Battalion, where a search was conducted in the Shomron PA (Palestinian Authority) village of Sweka.
During the search, police uncovered a Karl Gustav, ammunition and gun parts. A resident of the village was taken into custody.
The police statement read:
“Weapons that are illegally held are often used to carry out attacks, commit crimes, and commit violent acts. Therefore, the Israel Police and the security forces will continue their determined and uncompromising struggle and will work tirelessly in cooperation with all the relevant parties to reduce the scope of illegal weapons, all in order to protect the normative citizen and to allow a normal and safe routine for all Israeli citizens.”
