Knesset Speaker Dalia Itzik on Sunday addressed a Kadima Party function, stating with a modicum of confidence that the party will continue as the ruling party in Israel for a “long time.”

The Labor Party defector had words of praise for the party, currently headed by Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, and told her colleagues that she does not anticipate a change in leadership for a long time to come.
