One person is dead and four others suffered minor injuries in a one-car accident on the Williamsburg Bridge.
Police and fire officials say the accident occurred at 3:55 a.m. Monday on the ramp on the Brooklyn side of the bridge.
The injured were transported to a hospital.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
The crash closed the westbound BQE ramp to the westbound Williamsburg Bridge, causing huge delays for the morning commute.
Commercial traffic was forced to use the Manhattan Bridge.
