Israel is watching with grave concern over a possible deal between the United States and Saudi Arabia involving the state-of-the-art stealth F35 Lighting II fighter jets, the Jerusalem Post reports.
During recent meetings in the Pentagon between Defense Ministry officials Amos Gilad, a retired IDF major-general, and US Undersecretary of Defense Beth McCormick, Gilad presented Israel’s latest shopping list, seeking advanced military hardware that would permit Israel to maintain its qualitative edge over its neighbors in the region.
If an agreement or the Lightning II is reached with Saudi Arabia, Israel will seek other sophisticated weaponry systems towards the goal of maintain military superiority in the region, such as the F22 Raptor, another state-of-the-art stealth fighter craft. It is considered the world’s most advanced fight jet to date.

The raptor is one cool bird.
F-22 is not an option, since it’s about to be killed.
