According to a Galei Tzahal (Army Radio) report, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has given the order to freeze construction throughout Yehuda and Shomron as a result of mounting American pressure. For the time being, the Bayit Yehudi party remains silent.
Housing Minister (Uri Ariel) has plans to construct hundreds of housing units in communities in Yehuda and Shomron. Some of the plans have already been approved by the prime minister.
There are reports that Ariel has threatened his party may not support the state budget if the building freeze is not lifted but Galei Tzahal signals the threat is not being taken seriously by the prime minister at this time.
Following the report, the Prime Minister’s Office released a message stating there is no construction freeze in effect.
In a related matter, Housing Minister Ariel told the Knesset Economics Committee on Tuesday, 27 Iyar 5773 during a pre-Jerusalem Day meeting that the cabinet opposes the construction of 2,500 housing units in the capital.

I do not believe this article accurately portrays what happened. This makes it sound that apartments that are in the middle of the building process are going to stop being built. From what I have seen in all other news sources, Israeli and American, Netanyahu is slowing down the projects in the settlements and is stopping to accept new tenders, but from what I can understand apartments and projects that have already been started will continue.

Good Luck
