Ichud Leumi leader and contender to become leader of Bayit Yehudi, MK Betzalel Smotrich, has launched his campaign which attacks former party leader, Minister Naftali Bennet. Bennet and colleague Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked abandoned Bayit Yehudi to launch their New Right party.

According to Smotrich, Bennet, Yesh Atid leader MK Yair Lapid and Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu all use the dati leumi tzibur when convenient and then they are thrown to the side.

In his first election campaign video, Smotrich targets the three and sends the message “we are here to stay, in our home, as dati leumi is a way of life, our way of life”.
