The Eida Chareidis decries the growing chilul Shabbos nationwide, pointing out that “the shmad government in the city and around Eretz HaKodesh has turned Shabbos Kodesh into a work day”.
In this first pashkavil addressing the matter this week, the Eida is calling for public kabolas Shabbos events nationwide this erev Shabbos. One assumes detailed information will be forthcoming in additional pashkavilim.

Why is this called a pashkavil?
Because it was probably posted on some walls or public bulletin boards with additional copies left in shuls and batei medroshim in Chareidi neighborhoods. The good news is that this pashkavil seems to recognize that more would be acomplished (in terms of reducing chilul shabbos) by scheduling “kabalas shabbos” events promoting a positive image of shabbos rather than simply yelling gevalt and holding demonstrations.
Both are needed. One is not mutually exclusive of the other.
