Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Monday, 19 Iyar 5773 decided to appoint Maj.-Gen. (Res.) Avichai Mandelblit as the next Cabinet Secretary. He will replace attorney Tzvi Hauser, who announced his intention to conclude his duties three months ago, after four years in office.
Prime Minister Netanyahu thanked Tzvi Hauser for his dedicated and professional work and said that he is certain the latter will continue to contribute to the State of Israel.
Mandelblit, who served as the IDF Military Advocate General from 2009-2011, said upon accepting the position: “I have come to contribute from my professional experience to the challenges that face the Government.”
Prime Minister Netanyahu congratulated Mandelblit and wished him success.
