According to Fox News, Delta Airlines has just cancelled an “unspecified” number of flights due to safety inspections on their Boeing MD-80 aircraft. A spokesperson for Delta told Fox that all passengers had so far been placed onto other aircraft, and refused to answer how many aircraft were being inspected.
This development follows, American Airlines in its third straight day of cancellations. More than 900 additional American Airlines flights were grounded on Thursday, bringing the total number of canceled flights nationwide since Tuesday to 2,400. Those flights represent more than one-third of the airline’s total schedule.
Also cancelling flights for MD-80 aircraft inspections was Alaska Airlines – with 14 flights being cancelled.

to #1…your asking in the wrong place
this is not so. you are paranoid. the faa cannot throw temper tantrums just because one of their people was caught neglecting their job.
At least the passengers were transferred to another plane. It is very strange. I hope they catch whatever was wrong.
