I need a good book for a Heimishe minded business start up plan. First of all, who/what where do I get assistance to write it up? And what books should I read? Thanks
You can find literally dozens of books on Amazon on business start ups. However, before you spend money on books, you can get some really good guidance online for free on the website of the Small Business Administration. CR rules don’t allow for posting links to the specfic pages but you can find links to the tutorial information easily by searching on the SBA.gov home page. The information you find there will help you narrow your Amazon search to books on the specific matters you feel you need to explore in greater depth. its also informaiton meant for a small simple startup business and not some high-tech company looking for venture capital. How does a heimishe minded business differ from a non heimishe minded business?
If you wanted to by a cynic, it means a plan for building a business stressing limited selection, above-market prices, poor quality service etc. In the context of this thread, I suspect it means a plan whereby a yeshivish guy with limited academic and business credentials, not a lot of money but willing to work hard can build a small business and possibly obtain some outside financing along the way. If you open the classified section of Jewish week, hamodia, yatid, etc, you will see a gazillion businesses advertising themselves as “heimeshe” with no coherent theme or common attributes.
Are There really businesses advertised as “heimishe” in the Jewish Week?
