IAI (Israel Aerospace Industries) has signed a leasing agreement with Better Place and it will be replacing its fleet of standard company vehicles with electric ones.

According to the Globes report, Better Place will be building a vehicle charging infrastructure at IAI to accommodate the fleet of Renault Fluence Z.E. cars, the first of which is expected in May.

Globes quotes IAI VP operations, procurement and logistics Yaakov Goldstein saying, “IAI continues its ongoing green activities and is joining the electric transport revolution that will reduce the level of air pollution. In addition to protecting the environment, the transition to electric vehicles will bring the company financial savings.”
