Lebanese media is reporting that the IDF has significantly stepped up its presence along the border with that country. There are also reports the IAF launched mock air raids to frighten residents over Bint Jbeil, Marjaayoun and Tabnin.

On Thursday, 15 Iyar 5773, the IAF downed a drone near the Haifa coastline which reportedly originated in Lebanon. Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu signaled Israel believes Hizbullah was behind sending the pilotless aircraft into Israeli air space.

IDF officials are confirming that the Northern Command and navy are on heightened alert in light of recent events along the border.
