According to an alert published by the Journal News, guests at an April 1 wedding in the Atrium Plaza Grand Ballroom in Spring Valley may have been exposed to measles. Quoting Rockland County Health Commissioner Dr. Joan Facelle, the Journal News said that infected man had recently flown into the United States and that, after his diagnosis, the health department had been trying to contact people who had attended the wedding using a guest list. Officials told the news agency, that symptoms of the deadly disease can show up as late as April 23rd.

I hope it can’t spread. What if someone has gotten infected and spreads it in the Mikvah etc. We need more advice on the subject.
The fastest way to stop this outbreak is by vaccinating everyone who can be as quickly as possible. The less people there are who are susceptable to measles, the less it will be able to spread.

does it only affect people on April 1? what happens if people were there a few days later?
OMG!! is it a dangerous thing? can you die from it? who should take shots now? everyone? or only the people that were by the wedding?? what does it affect if you get it chas vaholem??
I was at a wedding at the Atrium the next night with a baby, I better call my pediatrician! Let’s not revert back to the days before immunizations when it was the norm for parents to r”l bury their children! Parents nowadays did not live back then and see the ravages of these childhood disease and how easy they could spread.

I was near the atrium today and ABC-7 had a news truck there doing a story about the measels (I asked) so don’t worry folks the “truth” will be revealed
