BINA Annual Dinner THIS SUNDAY to Benefit Stroke and Brain Injury Survivors
The Annual Dinner of BINA Stroke and Brain Injury Assistance will take place on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at the El Caribe Country Club in Brooklyn.
BINA is there every day for stroke and brain injury survivors of all ages and their families, providing critical guidance and expertise at each stage of the complex rehabilitation process. Thousands of children, adults and seniors who have nowhere else to turn in the aftermath of a devastating brain injury have benefited from BINA’s vital assistance. BINA’s mission is to ensure that no brain injury survivor is alone as they struggle to navigate the long and difficult road to recovery.
Steven Kirshblum, M.D., Senior Medical Officer at Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation in New Jersey will be presented with the Physician Leadership Award. A member of BINA’s Medical Advisory Board, Dr. Kirshblum is internationally recognized for his work in spinal cord injury medicine, rehabilitation and research.
Natalie and David Batalion, longtime friends and supporters of BINA will receive the Visionary Partners Award.
The Distinguished Community Service Award will be presented to Elchanan Schwarz, LMHC, Director of Crisis Intervention at BINA. A valued member of BINA’s team since 2014, Elchanan has worked tirelessly to improve the lives of brain injury survivors.
