A transit worker helping with a track project in Queens died after being hit by a subway early Wednesday, the MTA said.

The agency said the 58-year-old worker was part of a crew finishing up some work on the tracks at the 46th Street station in Astoria when a northbound E train rolled into the station at about 3:20 a.m. and struck him.

He was pronounced dead at the scene; no one else was hurt.
