One single winning $425 million Mega Millions ticket was sold in Upper Brookville, Nassau County.

The winning numbers for the New Year’s Day drawing were 34, 44, 57, 62 and 70, and the Mega Ball was 14.

The ticket was sold by Brookville Auto Service on Route 25A.

The giant jackpot was the eighth largest jackpot in the history of the game.

There were a few second place $1 million dollar winners in the Tri-State area as well. One was in Pleasantville in Westchester County, and another was in Little Neck, Queens. There was also a million dollar winner in Canton, NY. Ohio, South Carolina, and Texas all had million dollar winners, while in Pennsylvania, someone had included the megaplier option to their ticket. That brought their prize up to a whopping $4 million.
