The Moetzas Gedolei Torah of Degel Hatorah has released a letter of support for Bnei Brak Mayor Avraham Rubinstein on the backdrop of the dispute surrounding Beit Knesset Darchei Shmuel, which is affiliated with Peleg Yerushalmi.

The letter bears the signature of the rabbonim shlita, led first and foremost by HaGaon HaRav Chaim Kanievsky Shlita.

In the letter, the rabbonim write, “We hereby express our pain and protest at the persecution and abuse of the shaliach of the rabbonim, one of the founders of the Nachlat Moshe chain of kollels in Eretz Yisrael”.

The rabbis also wrote about Rubinstein: “He is moser nefesh for the benefit of the public and the individual, a man whom Gedolei Hador Shlita, and all his actions are according to their advice and teaching and appointed by us as mayor of Bnei Brak.

“And we will strengthen his hands in the holy work and in raising the Keren Torah, and with the help of HKBH will be able to continue his actions to increase Kovod Shomayim until the coming of the righteous redeemer”.
