Government Employees Launch Sanctions


Government employees on Tuesday announced that beginning on Wednesday, they will begin work sanctions. Interior Ministry officials announced they will not issue new teudat zehut identity cards or passports.

In addition, Transportation Ministry employees will not conduct driving exams and suppliers working with various government agencies will not receive payment.

Union officials explain the work sanctions revolve around a disagreement concerning civil servants repaying loans.
