New Jersey state police say a crash involving a car and a tanker truck on the Garden State Parkway has left four people dead.
The accident was reported around 2:50 a.m. Wednesday in the southbound lanes near mile marker 81.5 in Toms River.
State police say the car driven by 21-year-old Kevin Quispe-Prieto, of Beachwood, slammed into the back of the tanker .
Quispe-Prieto and three passengers — Jimmy Quispe-Prieto and Robert Ordenana, both 23, and 24-year-old Victor Lugo, all of Lakewood — were all pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities haven’t said whether any of the four were related.
It’s not clear if the tanker was moving at the time. The tanker driver suffered minor injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Authorities shut down some lanes as they investigated the crash, causing travel delays in the area.

I wonder if any of the following were factors.
1. Texting and driving
2. Music real loud, acting like it’s a disco bar, not paying attention
3. Alcohol
4. No seat-belts
5. Speeding, and not obeying posted traffic laws
B’H they hit a truck (causing no other injury or fatalities) and didn’t hit a minivan with a family or a sedan with a married couple.
