An IDF Homefront Command training exercise lasting for five days got underway in Eilat on Sunday, 11 Iyar 5773. Taking part in the exercise will be Eilat City Hall, police, MDA, and the city’s fire department.

While the event began about a week after katyusha rockets were fired into the city from Sinai, military officials explain the drill was scheduled ahead of the rocket fire and there is no connection to that attack.
