Members and supporters of Peleg Yerushalmi on Motzei Shabbos held protests at a number of venues, including at Shmuel HaNavi/Bar Ilan Street in Yerushalayim, causing a major traffic jam in that area. Police report arresting two participants for disorderly conduct at that protest.
There were also protests at Kikar Shabbos and Yechezkel Street where several dozen protesters closed the intersection for a brief period. Another protest was reported near the entrance to Modi’in Illit, where an ambulance on an emergency call was delayed due to protesters blocking the road. There were confrontations at the entrance to Modi’in Illit between the protesters and others, who were angered at the closure of the entrance and exit to the city after Shabbos.
On Sunday night protests were held at Shmuel HaNavi/Yechezkel Streets in Yerushalayim. No arrests were reported.
The protests were to decry the arrests of a Chabad-affiliated girl, who has been in military prison for weeks for refusing to be drafted into the IDF as well as the arrest of bochur Itzik Aryeh. There have been numerous Peleg protests of late opposing the draft policies and the arrests of talmidim who do not cooperate with draft authority regulations to register for the draft and receive a deferment to sit and learn. As a result, the are listed as AWOL by the IDF and arrested if apprehended.

seems like an excuse for bittul torah. spray them with kosher lemehadrin with a rabbanut hashgakha, red, foul odor water that cannot be ever washed out so they remain red and farshtunkin.
DrYidd and anewuser, have you ever heard of the massive violent protests against giyus banos? The mesorah doesn’t change and you won’t find one competent rav that will tell you that its ok.
The Chazon Ish sanctioned such protests.
If it was yous daughter behind bars you wouldn’t protest?
All they need to do is release the frum girl from jail! If she were your sister what would you do to get her released?
