Look at what one tweet managed to do: MK Ahmad Tibi of the Arab List succeeded in changing the list of participants in the official conference of the Government Press Office and bringing in an Arab journalist and a chareidi journalist, all thanks to a short tweet on the Twitter network.
A few days ago, Tibi questioned how there is an official gender conference without representation from the Arabic and chareidi media, and why there are no women from those sectors either.
On Thursday morning, the news came. Following Tibi’s tweet, two female journalists were added to the event, one chareidi – Shalhevet Chasdiel and the other an Arab woman – Iman Kassem Suleiman from KAN News.
Tibi tweeted the new and revised invitation and wrote this morning: “The power of tweeting has been added to both an Arab journalist and a chareidi journalist.”
“I wondered how to hold a special conference on women and the press without an Arab journalist,” Tibi said. “The place of the chareidim is also absent, I tweeted”.
