The family of Nachal Chareidi soldier Netanel Felber, who was seriously wounded in the Givat Assaf shooting attack and remains in serious condition, is calling on the tzibur at large to have him in mind during tefilos this coming Shabbos, Parshas Vayechi. He is still fighting for his life and is in need of Rachmei Shomayim.
Minister of Education (Bayit Yehudi) Naftali Bennet is also calling on the public to be mispallel for Felber this Shabbos, urging “everyone, chilonim and religious alike, on behalf of soldier Netanel Felber, who was critically wounded and is fighting for his life”.
Bennet explains “Netanel’s situation is very difficult as a result of his serious head injury. The doctors are treating him but with such an injury, they are quite limited. All of Am Yisrael, secular, dati leumi, and chareidim must all be mispallel for Netanel.”
Please be mispallel for Netanel Ilan ben Shaina Tziporah bsoch shar cholei yisrael.
Earlier this week, it was reported that while in an induced coma in Hadassa Hospital, Netanel had responded to wearing Tefillin and hearing the reading of the Parsha.
Netanel’s father related the story:
“For whatever reason, I felt a strong desire to put Tefillin on my son. I felt like he would appreciate it, but I had no idea if it was a good idea or not, medically speaking. I asked the nurses, and they were surprisingly receptive. So I took Netanel’s tefillin to his bedside. Slowly I started rolling his sleeve up, so I could slide up the shel yad onto his arm. And I’m telling you, from within his coma… Netanel lifted his shoulder, ever so slightly, so I could get his sleeve high enough.”
Similarly, this past Friday night, someone walked to the hospital, in order to read the weekly parsha by Netanel’s bedside. Netanel’s mother noticed that Netanel’s pulse, which had been stable the entire day, inexplicably increased in pace during the reading.”
