The 11th Annual Torah Umesorah Presidents Conference
Our children are our future, and Klal Yisroel throws its collective heart and soul into creating and shaping a bright future. Torah Umesorah has been at the helm of much of it: providing much-needed resources, such as seminars, professional development courses and student interventions, for teachers. But 11 years ago, the demand for services geared toward those at the helm of the executive and financial departments of schools became apparent.
Torah Umesorah stepped up and created the first-ever Presidents Conference – a conference geared toward those who manage the business, financial, and administrative aspects of schools – in order to foster new practices and ideas for leadership, fundraising and administration. The conference has since grown tremendously, and this year there are close to 700 registered attendees.
The three short days at the Presidents Conference propel conversation, inspiration, and innovative ideas. Some of Torah Umesorah’s most groundbreaking initiatives, such as the Nefesh Chaya Mashgiach & Mechaneches Training Program, the Aliyah B’Tefila program and Project Lishmor, were born from discussions that took place at the Presidents Conference. Lay leaders and activists leave the conference impassioned and inspired to do more for Klal Yisroel.
“It’s at the Presidents Conference that I have the opportunity once a year to spend quality time with like-minded, idealistic ‘Torah entrepreneurs,’” said Conference Chairman Carey Wolchok. “It’s this exchange of ideas and challenges that makes the Presidents Conference one of the most important Shabbosim of the year.”
This year’s 11th Annual Presidents Conference will take place in the Miami Trump Doral on December 20th – 23rd and will highlight the critical role of leadership and guidelines for its successful implementation. Members of our esteemed Vaad Roshei Yeshiva – HaRav Shmuel Kamenetsky, Shlita, HaRav Hillel David, Shlita, and Rosh HaYeshiva of Yeshiva Darche Eres, Rabbi Meyer Yedid, Shlita – will be in attendance. The Conference will be co-chaired by Yitzchok Rosedale, Ari Stern, and Carey Wolchok and will feature a wide variety of esteemed lecturers.
