B’chasdei Hashem, the smoke and flames reported in Ichilov Hospital in were contained, and the fire was extinguished without injuries.

The fire was reported during the early morning hours Monday, apparently when smoke was detected in the hospital. It appears that a woman admitted to the hospital set a cart containing clean linen on fire, for reasons that are not detailed in the report.

The response by the fire department was quick and the blaze was extinguished without incident. Police are involved, and they are trying to ascertain the motive for the woman setting the cart on fire.
