MK (Likud) Miri Regev was officially appointed to head the Knesset Internal Affairs & Environment Committee. Regev announced shortly following the appointment that she plans to begin by visiting Har Habayis towards getting a firsthand look at prayer arrangements on the Mount as well as the ongoing illegal excavations being conducted by the Islamic Waqf Authority.
Regev added she plans to convene a committee meeting in southern Tel Aviv, a meeting in which local residents will be invited to address the issue of the many illegal aliens in that community. She also expressed a commitment to work to oust illegals from the country, to send them back to the countries of origin.
