Al-Arabia provides photos documenting Hizbullah fighters are operating in Syria, primarily to protect Shiite villages located near the border to Lebanon. The Hizbullah troops are not taking part in the widespread revolution against the Assad regime but are concentrating efforts on repelling rebel forces from the Shiite villages.

Over 200 people have been killed in a two day period earlier in the week including at least 12 children killed in a Syrian air force attack against rebel forces. Rebel forces report at least 12 Hizbullah fighters have been killed as well as fighting in that country remains heavy.
