Hamas Gaza official Mushir al-Masri in a statement warned Israel that unless some 1,400 terrorists are released soon, Hamas would “close the file” on Gilad Shalit, hinting the captured soldier is in danger if Israel does not acquiesce to the terror organization’s demands.
Hamas continues to blame Israel for the prolonged incarceration of Shalit, explaining that to date, the government has rejected its lists of names of prisoners to be released.
Shalit was taken hostage in June 2006 in southern Israel and is believed to be alive and in good physical condition.
