Massive Damage At Eisenbach Matzah Bakery In Yerushalayim

fire9_m1.jpgHeavy damage is being reported at the “Eisenbach Matzah Bakery” – one of the largest Matzah Bakeries in Yerushalayim – after a fire broke out on Motzei Shabbos. Sources tell YWN that the fire broke out at around 10:00PM, in the bakery located on Rechov Harkima – which is in the Romeima neighborhood of Yerushalayim.

Initial reports were that there were people trapped inside the bakery, but Boruch Hashem those reports were untrue, and besides for heavy damage, there were no injuries reported.

The owner of the large bakery was even more devastated upon learning that a huge quantity of baked Matzos which were packaged in cardboard boxes ready for distribution, have also been destroyed in the blaze. A source confirmed to YWN that as many as 10 tons of Matzah has been destroyed!

Additionally, YWN has learned that one of the kitchens belonging to the Yad Eliezer organization was located on the first floor. YWN spoke to a representative of Yad Eliezer who told us that the kitchen, which is used to prepare the food for the weddings of Yesomim, was damaged as well. “There was a Chasunah for an orphan taking place tonight in Yerushalayim, but Boruch Hashem we were able to use the kitchen at the wedding hall to prepare the food”, the spokesperson said.

The Fire Department is investigating the cause of that blaze, although it seems that it may have been caused by the oven.

  1. Sad news.
Do Matzvoh factories and chesed kitchens have to be check yearly for safety? (only a question, not a blame!)

  2. Oy, NeveAliza you are so right. Im soon going to all the gedolim and mikubolim to find out what hashem wants from us! Im also taking some more takonos and chumros on myself. oy oy vey!

  3. On second thought, maybe hashem is showing the owners of the matzo bakeries NOT to take advantage of yidden when it comes to performing mitzvos. In U.S. we call it price gouging. Maybe this fire (read:loss) adjusted his profit margin to what it should have been all along. Esrog sochrim, take heed!

  4. Mr. YeshivaRodefKesef this bakery served many org’s which don’t even charge a singel dollar for the Matzohs –

How about thinking that the bakery sympely had a fire and it’s not related to signal us anything???

  5. Mr. Shma Yisroel
Ein mikreh!! Things don’t “sympely” happen
There is a chisoron in your emunah! Go learn mussar and be boidek if you are a yid. While youre at it, learn to spell. Also, please address me as Rabbi, not Mr.
    Show Kovod Hatoireh!!

  6. First of all my ‘bad’ spelling is a good “simen” on my yiddiskite…

2nd of all its a big machloikos if everything that happends is a signal on something and a bad reason, 100% everything in the world is with “Hashgucha Elyoina” but it’s possibale the company should of have a big loss or who knows what?
and what makes you think thet they take advantage from the rising prices on food products?

  7. I think the root of the tragedy comes from that everyone knows that the other is lacking emunah. If would we all merit to have unconditional love that doesn’t have any reason and explaination. Then in that merit all the diseases and sicknesses that don’t have any reason and or explaination hashem will send the cure amen

  8. I think this is a test to see how Yisroel responds to this- if they’ll just say oy vey, or get up and help out. I’m sure the matza bakery will have to run overtime to even catch up to where they were up to before the fire.

  9. To #13

The answer to your comment is a) the only way some people can feel empowered is by putting others down; b)some people are just so negative & always have to make a machloykes in everything. Even this.

And then we wonder why Moshiach hasn’t come. Mind-boggling, isn’t it?

  10. I would like to know who the esteemed posters that have Ruach Hakodesh are, because I have some shailos about my life for him.

By the way 17 m’ikur hadin you should face slightly to the left at the kosel.
