Using donations collected from supporters last week, Assemblyman James Skoufis says he’s chartered a West Point Tours bus to take spectators to the site where Kiryas Joel is expected to resume construction of its controversial water pipeline following some court jousting on the issue Friday.
Skoufis, a Woodbury Democrat elected in November, announced the arrangement Friday, saying constituents should park before 8 a.m. in the public lot behind Woodbury Town Hall.
The bus will deposit visitors on Seven Springs Mountain Road where construction left off Thursday.
“People have been telling us, ‘We support you. We want to be there with you,’” said Skoufis, who was on hand Wednesday when Legislator Roxanne Donnery and Woodbury Supervisor John Burke parked in front of the advancing pipeline. Skoufis promised a peaceful watch that won’t obstruct traffic.

you can protest all you want , this is america the land of the free , however please let me remind you that if you block the construction of the water pipeline the state police will remove you in silver bracelets that get locked on your wrists.

I don’t understand what the problem is. Lots of upstate communities use New York City water by tapping off the main aqueducts, including most of Westchester County. Why should Kiryas Joel be prohibited from doing what most communities do as long as they pay for the construction of the pipeline, and fair market value for the water?

Because the anti-semites living near KJ (some of whom are technically Jewish) don’t like Jews. Especially Jews who practice Judaism. And dress like Jews. They wish those people were long gone already. Or at least don’t live near them. And how better to keep them away than to inhibit their growth.
