With great sorrow we announce the petira of Rebbetzin Shaindel Bulman, A”H, beloved wife of the esteemed Rav Nachman Bulman, ZATZAL. Rebbetzin Bulman was niftar early Tuesday morning in Jerusalem, surrounded by her family, following a brief illness. Among the hundreds of mourners at her levaya later that afternoon were former congregants, students, followers, friends, neighbors and admirers whose lives had been touched and transformed by the Rav and his Rebbetzin over their 50 years of devoted service to the klal in Eretz Yisrael and across North America. Included were former members of Torah communities which the Bulmans had helped build in Danville, Virginia; Newport News, Virginia; Far Rockaway, NY; Migdal HaEmek in Northern Israel; and Neve Yaakov, Jerusalem.
Rebbetzin Bulman was legendary for her warm hachnosas orchim. With her kind and gentle manner she opened her home and heart to each one of her innumerable guests. Her extreme modesty and unassuming nature belied her achievements. She was a published author of many delightful stories and poems. Her second book – just released – Another Cup of Tea with the Rebbetzin, joins her first book, A Cup of Tea with the Rebbetzin, in inspiring her readers with its charming, warm, and witty style.
Her children are sitting shiva at her home in Neve Yakov, Jerusalem at Rechov 720. Her sister Ruth Weiser is observing shiva in Teaneck, NJ.

What an exceptional couple. An Ish Emes, Talmid Chocham with an outstanding wife. Remember them from Far Rockaway, his love for Eretz Yisroel and Am Yisrael has not been matched yet.
Our families owes our entire lives to Moranu HaRav Nachman & Rebbetzin Bulman, Z”TL. They seeded into our beings what it means to be Jewish from the inside out. The Yiddishkeit of our Rav has not been duplicated. It is said that when Rav Bulman, Z”TL spoke he took hold of your heart and squeezed the tears from it.
With much admiration,
The Shawel & Kurzer families from Newport News, Virginia
