Is it just me or has there been an increase this year ?!?!
December 1, 2018 11:50 pm at 11:50 pm #1635000JosephParticipantIt’s just you.
December 2, 2018 12:00 am at 12:00 am #1635006jakobParticipant1)Eisav sonei ess Yaakov. I.e. klal Yisroel will ALWAYS be hated by the other nations we are living amongst us.
2)when the hatred grows and gets worse R”L we are ALL supposed to face reality and openly be honest with asking ourselves why is the hatred getting worse R”L? we all know itscnit coincidence. If we wake up now and take the message from Hashem. Then we can have it stopped right away and will not need any more wake up calls from Hashem for Teshuva.
December 2, 2018 12:37 am at 12:37 am #1635013MammeleParticipantFF: It’s mostly an increase in media publicity accompanied with video footage. In the past many incidents weren’t publicized, or were just in the local community papers, and mostly went unreported to the police. There was simply no “proof” to bother with it. Now with CCTV cameras everywhere, there’s hope the perpetrator will be caught, and the police are forced to take each case seriously.
There might also be the attention factor, of bums wanting to have their face/video plastered all over and gain “praise” from their likeminded friends. Which brings me to the copycat factor, which kind of negates what I just said…
December 2, 2018 10:35 am at 10:35 am #1635116Avi KParticipantMaybe it’s a punishment for loving the galut. Rav Teichtal says this about the Holocaust in Em HaBanim Semeicha.
December 2, 2018 10:56 am at 10:56 am #1635172kavod HabriotParticipantAlways was & Always will be…. too much hate amongst us in Klal Yisroel..maybe we should be talking about that.
December 2, 2018 12:06 pm at 12:06 pm #1635178ZionGateParticipantRe: Rav Teichtal, HY”D
Rav Reinis Z”Tz”L, also talks about it in Shnei Hamoros,Shaar Aleph, an entire discussion about the Zionist movement .
My son discovered it online, sent it to me, and one of the
telling things about it, is that so many rabbonim supported the movement, and how they were essentially bullied and shut down. I don’t believe this is in book form.December 2, 2018 1:37 pm at 1:37 pm #1635260FreddyfishParticipantHow do I find it?
December 2, 2018 1:37 pm at 1:37 pm #1635262GadolhadorahParticipantIt a world where everyone has a cameral and every street has security cameras,, its hrd to imagine any event not being recorded. Couple that with 24×7 media coverage and the polarization of our political discourse, the “copycat” aspect of these events means there will be more such occurrences. I’ll go along with the “CR experts” who claim that the recent report by the Departmen of Justice that hate-crimes have inreased 57 percent since the new administration took office i purely a coincidence.
December 2, 2018 2:59 pm at 2:59 pm #1635310ZionGateParticipantFreddyfish,
At Hebrewbooks.org.
You’ll have to navigate the site and I’m not sure if they spell his name Reinis , Reines or Reinus,.
In addition to Shaar Aleph which deals exclusively with his thought & experiences in the Zionist movement, there are also the other chalokim of the Shnei Hamoros.
Also, his other works, including shaeiles & tshuvas … a whole slew of them which you can print out in total.
It also has his sefer, now out of print, Ohr Chodosh Al Tziyon, which I was able to purchase on line, which also contains arguments pro-Zionist.
Good luck.December 2, 2018 3:07 pm at 3:07 pm #1635336ZionGateParticipantI al so have Ketavim Nivcharim, by Rav Yitzchok Nissenbaum, HY”D, a Holocaust victim, and once secretary to Rav MohilivER. It’s out of print. In it, R’ Nissenbaum relates his experiences in the Mizrachi movement as a prominent rav and organizer. He & R’ Reinis knew each other.
This sefer was edited by one, Eliyahu Moshe Ganchovski, out of. Jerusalem years ago. Published by Levin- Epshtein Bros.December 2, 2018 6:38 pm at 6:38 pm #1635422MilhouseParticipantthe recent report by the Departmen of Justice that hate-crimes have inreased 57 percent since the new administration took office
There is no such report. You refer to a report by the ADL, which has been completely debunked, because it includes many crimes that were proven not to have been motivated by antisemitism at all, as well as antisemitic crimes committed by enemies of the new administration.
December 3, 2018 8:09 am at 8:09 am #1635628Avi KParticipant
December 5, 2018 3:08 pm at 3:08 pm #1638098Reb EliezerParticipantIF we don’t recognize the galus and see that we are strangers in a strange land, says the Binah Leitim, we are extending the galus. Moshiach when we are on the lowest level and the only recourse we have is the hope in Hashem see the Klei Yokor on ופרצת ימה וקדמה.

January 31, 2019 7:43 am at 7:43 am #1671419FreddyfishParticipantLet me rephrase the question-what’s with the sudden rise of hate crimes in the US in the past year?!?!
January 31, 2019 1:44 pm at 1:44 pm #1671695DovidBTParticipantIt’s a reaction to the left’s continuing efforts to control what people may say or think.
January 31, 2019 2:31 pm at 2:31 pm #16717231ParticipantA few factors. The stereotype about globalist Jews is actually a reality among a few liberal elites. They get many people upset with the poison that Hollywood produces, globalist policy that eliminates jobs to domestic workers, at . Also, instead of buying apartments in EY, we are moving for the comforts of American suburbs. I see a message of love to Israel while we can afford to and are physically able to. Then there is a flawed policy engineered by the left to let Islamists do whatever they want and they add fuel to the fire. The black power movement has been rejuvinated through black lives matter. The black people who owe civil rigyts to Jews spit on us. Mainly, it’s because we aren’t taking care of ourselves and the wrong ones call the shots.
