The State’s Forest Fire trucks and an airplane are being used to extinguish a large brush fire in the Ocean County Park, Tuesday afternoon.
The fire was reported about 5:00PM several hundred feet off the park’s main road – which has been shut as firefighters attempt to bring the approximately 1 acre fire under control.
The New Jersey Forest Fire Service today urged the public to exercise extra caution when outdoors, as forest fire levels remain at high. The warm weather is contributing to the high level, officials said.
