The winter session of Knesset ended on Wednesday, giving lawmakers an approximate six-week break until the resumption of the summer session in mid-May.
The winter session was seen by many as a difficult period by the Olmert-led administration, but at the end of the day, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert survived the release of the Winograd Commission’s report, over 100 no-confidence motions and the resignation of the Yisrael Beitenu Party from the coalition.
