MDA Budget To Yehuda & Shomron Released After Pressure Was Applied

After the right persons succeeded in applying pressure in the correct places, the Finance Ministry released the budget for continued MDA operations in Yehuda and Shomron, covering the remainder of 2018.

Earlier this month MDA Director-General Eli Bin sent a letter to the Government Secretary, Mr. Tzachi Braverman, regarding the fact that budgets for MDA activities in Yehuda and Shomron are no longer being transferred. Whereas, according to Government Resolution 3320, the MDA budget in those areas is supposed to be regulated each year without harming the organization’s ability to provide EMS services to residents.

Bayit Yehudi party Minister Uri Ariel appealed to various bodies in the Ministry of Finance to promote the issue and prevent any harm to rapid and effective response to residents of Yehuda and Shomron by MDA. However, as far as the issue is concerned, Ariel spoke on Sunday with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Cabinet Secretary Braverman during the cabinet meeting in order to resolve the crisis as soon as possible.

Ariel expressed delight upon hearing the monies were released by the treasury, thereby ensuring continued EMS service to residents of Yehuda and Shomron for the remainder of the Gregorian calendar year.
