Government Cuts Funding for Protective Car Windows

As the Olmert administration continues to make it clear that the well-being of Yesha residents is not a national government priority, the residents of Yehuda and Shomron must now seek private funding to remove car windows and replace them with rock-resistance Lexan windows.

To date, the government funded the protective glass since security realities dictate residents remove the glass from their automobiles. In a cost-saving measure, the government announced the funding of the protective windows program has been removed from the national budget.

The move comes at a time during which there is a sharp increase in rock-throwing attacks against Jewish motorists.
